This is the nightclub where Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was seen partying in a viral video

New Delhi: A day after his image partying in a nightclub went viral, it has been confirmed that the Congress leader Raoul Gandhi was at the Lord of the Drinks (LOD) in Kathmandu, the nightclub confirmed on Wednesday. Amid a political tussle that began after a video emerged showing Gandhi partying at a nightclub, LOD confirmed to ANI news agency that the Congress leader was at the pub of Kathmandu “after a wedding party”.

While Congress had previously clarified that Gandhi was in Nepal to attend a wedding function of a journalist friend, the BJP was quick to hit back saying that Gandhi had “ties to those who challenge territorial integrity. from India”.

“Rahul Gandhi was supposed to be at the wedding of Sumnima Oudas, the daughter of a Nepalese diplomat, who actively supports Nepal’s claims to the Indian Uttarakhand regions. From China to Nepal, why does Rahul Gandhi only have ties with those who challenge India’s territorial integrity?” asked the BJP’s social media manager. Amit Malvia.

Congress hit back at the BJP allegations saying that attending the wedding had “still not become a crime in India”. “Rahul Gandhi traveled to a friendly country, Nepal, for a wedding function of a friend who also happens to be a journalist. It still hasn’t become a crime in this country to attend a wedding. Maybe after today the BJP could decide (if) it’s illegal to attend a wedding and it’s a crime to have friends,” said Randeep Surjewala of Congress.

The BJP denounced Gandhi calling him a “part-time politician”. The party has also taken on Congress over the “leadership crisis” in the big old party. The development comes days after Congress held intense talks with a political strategist Prashant Kishorwho reportedly suggested leadership changes and structural reforms to revive the Congress party.
