New nightclub opens in Binghamton town center

A place in downtown Binghamton that has been home to a series of restaurants, bars and clubs over the years is about to take on a new lease of life.
A representative for the company said Aqua Nightclub was scheduled to open on December 2, when Binghamton University students return to town after the Thanksgiving vacation.
The club will be located at 124 State Street, next to a city-owned parking lot.
Online records show that the State Liquor Authority issued a temporary liquor license for the establishment to Luckid LLC, which is linked to an address on the West Side of Binghamton. The permit, which had an effective date of November 9, is due to expire on February 6.
The Liquid Lounge was the last business to operate out of the State Street building. Formerly, the place hosted Bar 607, Benlin’s and Beaugart.
New signs were installed in September and other exterior modifications were made.
In an online post, Aqua describes itself as “the most popular and eye-catching new college nightclub and party spot.”
The company representative said Aqua will be open Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings.
