Cowboys: Calgary’s legendary nightclub finally reopens this fall

Cowboys, the “most legendary nightclub” that was closed due to the pandemic, is finally reopening.

The Calgary Stampede just wrapped up and the Cowboys Music Festival was once again a highlight of the event. It also gave us the first clues about the return of the closed club since March 2020.

It looks like the “most fun you can have with your boots” club will open in September 2022, with parties taking place all fall to celebrate.

Cowboys Dance Hall is known for its massive parties, events, concerts, and all sorts of other shows that YYC loves and has missed. It’s a Calgary institution that we can’t wait to finally get back.

Musicians like Snoop Dogg, Chad Brownlee, Loud Luxury and Nelly have all played Cowboys, as have comedians, drag queens, DJs and other well-known celebrities from shows like Big Brother and The Bachelorette.

After parties, theme parties and gastronomic events are also extremely common. When there are no shows, it is quite simply one of the funniest nightclubs in town.

Dust off those boots, grab the Cowboys hat off the shelf, because the Stampede spirit isn’t over yet.

Stay tuned for all updates on an exact opening date and what parties, events and shows to expect when the doors reopen in September.
