Alnwick nightclub I Won’t Tell reveals opening date

Terry Maughan, who owns several licensed and hotel businesses in the area, recently purchased the ‘I Won’t Tell’ venue – Alnwick Squash Club, which is located in the town center on Bondgate Within.

After revamping the premises which include two squash courts, a gym and a bar, the team are looking forward to bringing the popular nightclub back this Saturday (November 26).

The venue will be open from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m., with Alnwick DJ Jake Lowes playing music throughout opening night.

The place has had a facelift and is now ready to open its doors.

Although the venue has been slightly altered, nothing has changed drastically as the main aim is to re-open the venue, which has been a fixture of Alnwick nightlife for over 30 years.

Harry Moody, Building Manager, said: “We have a great opportunity here to breathe some life back into I Won’t Tell and the Squash Club and hopefully we can bring it back to the bustling premises it once was. . ”

The nightclub is currently running a Facebook contest, with 10 homecoming night tickets up for grabs.

The I Won’t Tell team is eager to welcome old faces, as well as new ones, and are optimistic that the event will return in full force.

An old photo from when I won’t tell was a big part of Alnwick nightlife.

Along with the return of I Won’t Tell, the team hopes to eventually host in-room events on other nights to target a different clientele, such as quiz nights and themed events.
