MADRID (AP) — Four people were shot and another was injured by a knife at a nightclub in southern Spain, police said Monday.
Two of those shot were in serious condition, police said in a statement. It is an Irish man and woman.
The person who was stabbed reportedly fired the shots and is under arrest. He is in serious condition with chest and head injuries, police said.
Police did not say what could have triggered the violence, which happened after midnight on Sunday in Marbella, a popular holiday town on Spain’s Costa del Sol. The police did not give the names of those involved.
